Del Rio Mayor Bruno Lozano holds a press convention and declares he has signed an emergency declaration to close southbound lanes of the Del Rio Worldwide Bridge, forestall visitors to Mexico as a consequence of 11,500 migrants residing underneath the bridge, most from Haiti.

Border Report walked over the Del Rio Worldwide Bridge to Acuña, Mexico, and noticed migrants constructing tents out of Carrizo cane from the banks of the Rio Grande, sleeping on packing containers and piles of trash.
